Glycerin, or glycerol or glycerine, is a sugar alcohol compound (C3H5(OH)3), containing 3 carbons and 3 hydrophilic hydroxyl groups. It is colourless and odorless liquid, sweet in tastewith very low toxicity. It is obtainedfrom organic plant oils like organic palm, organic soya, organic coconut oil and organic mustard. As a food, it is categorized as a carbohydrate. In cosmetics, personal care and pharma, it is valued for its wide range of humectant and moisturizing properties, as well as bacteriostatic and preservative properties.
Applications of Glycerin:
It is used:
1. As a humectant in lotions, creams and sunscreens
2. As a sweetener for foods (non-blood-sugar-elevating sweetener)
3. As a thickening agent in liqueurs, syrups, elixirs and pie fillings.
4. As an emulsifier for margarines.
5. As a freshness retainer for baked goods.
6. As amenstruum for herbal tincture.
7. As a tablet holding, fogging, de-icing, anti-drying agent for watercoloursand as a tobacco humectant.
8. It is also used in toothpastes, mouthwashes, skin care products, shaving cream, hair care products, glycerin soaps and other soaps, water based personal lubricants, snuff, rectal laxatives, eye shadow, lipstick, lip gloss, lotions and eyedrops.
9. Used in effective treatment of psoriasis, burns, bites, cuts, rashes, bedsores, and calluses.
10. It can be used orally to eliminate halitosis and help the periodontal disease, as it is a contact bacterial desiccant.
Pure OrganicGlycerin is prepared to be completely natural and carbon neutral. All our farms, inputs and processing facility are certified organic. Aryan’s Organic Vegetable Glycerine is obtained from organic soyabean and mustard Seeds oil. It is produced by splitting operation with high pressure steam. The operation involves circulating high pressure steamto split the oil. This results in sweet water with 2-15% glycerin and free fatty acids. The sweet water is then vacuum evaporated to give 90% concentrated glycerin. This concentrated glycerinis then steam distilled under vacuum evaporation to obtain colourless refined glycerin. Finally, it discolouredusing activated carbon and filtered to obtain pure glycerine.
Recycling of byproducts
We also recycle all the natural byproducts of the above process for using as a nutrient and raising organic livestock.Husks, cobs, processing liquids, enzymes, and other biomass byproducts of this process are sent to an organic farm for feeding the animals. The manure and biogas obtained from the animal farm are then sent back to fertilize the organic corn farm. The starches and sugars from the soyabean and mustard seedthen undergo our patented natural fermentation process, resulting in a pure, clean USP grade organic glycerin. Even the water used during the final refinement process is purified and recycled back into production.
